Pics and adventures will be posted this weekend when I get back on Minnesota time.
But look at my horoscope today:
The expression "turning point in your destiny" often brings a smile to cynical people's faces, but in your case, dear Pisces, it definitely has some meaning. This turning point can take the form of a new person in your life, or a key event that changes things forever. Sometimes, things that we only hear about actually happen. Something like this may be happening to you in the coming months.
It's happened. After Mother India, I know I will never be the same.

why i could sleep for days...
I AM GOING TO INDIA IN LESS THAN 48 HOURS!!
Now that THAT is out of the way, can I just say that I have never checked so many things off of a to-do list in my life, as I have in the last week? Seriously. It has been a huge push to the finish, including 2 nights of less than 3 hours of sleep, finishing college (!!!!!), and getting down to Marshall to be name a god-parent to the boys.
Putting it like that doesn't sound like much now that I read it, but I assure you, it was. And now I have to finish packing and begin to a)finally realize that I'm going to India and b)mentally prepare to do it. Maybe after some sleep and down, alone time, adventure will be just what I need...
Who am I kidding? Adventure is always just what I need...
Talk to you cats soon! Muchlove!!! I will return a karma chameleon!

just because...
I have the best group of friends in ever. Honestly. I know everyone thinks this about their friends and they should, but I'm serious. A few images from previous Family Nights...

You know how some pictures capture the essence of your relationships? With the exception of the obviously posed Family Portrait, these absolutely express the 5 of us. Suz and I mid-sass dance, Alex and I being absolutely insane and theatrical, Patrick and I looking at Cory with confusion and total acceptance...that about says it all!
Sorry if this has been a love letter to a small group of people but when you have good things in your life, you gotta say it. You shouldn't whisper about these things... Love doesn't work like that.

a night with my boys...
The Red Sox AND Pat and Cory, of course!
In the beginning, things were nice. No one knew who would win the game, Papi hadn't hit his upper deck homer, moods were light...

Then it became all too clear as the Sox pulled ahead and took the game (and series, I might add) and Pat, a die-hard Twins fan, needed to beat me into submission with his Twins hat. There are many, many pictures and a video of this occurance in existence. Talk to the boys if you want to see them...:) And I was left with some sad, sad boys... And an overflowing heart of Red Sox pride! GOOD TIMES!!! GO SOX!

why i'm smiling AGAIN...
Those Sox of mine...I just love 'em. They beat the Twins again today. Now, don't get me wrong, I like the Twins now...as long as they are not playing the Red Sox. I went to Friday night's game and it was magical... Stay tuned for pics!!
GO SOX!! GO SOX!! GO SOX!!

Pisces & Pisces
A boundless ocean of feeling and spirit hosts the emotional and physical exchanges of two Pisces individuals. They mirror each other's personalities, attracting each other, merging at every depth, intuitively understanding each other. Each senses the other's flow, without interfering. Respect for individuality rules. Their daily life may be somewhat erratic and unrealistic, but if they are artists, they will evolve together in a world of emotion, tenderness, and philanthropy. Their sexuality will be sublime, as each seeks to please the other. Exquisite devotion...
Huh.

why i'm a little concerned...
Final preparations are being made for my trip to India with the Kate. If you have any experience with the Kate, you know that this experience could be deemed detail-oriented and thorough...or just 'nutters' in layman speak.
Anyway! I requested to take some yoga classes while I was there, since yoga did originate in India and most true ashrams are located there. For me not to take class while in India would be like going to Fenway without seeing the Red Sox play, ya feel me? So! I'm going to take Bikram yoga which is a style of yoga that goes through 26 assans (poses) in a room heated to 99 degrees.
To Minnesotans, this seems like crazy talk. Why would anyone choose to do this? And since I have taken a few Bikram classes before, I can tell you with certainty, the second I walk in the studio, I start cursing myself for this terrible, terrible choice I've made. 90 minutes later I feel like the stretchiest, sweatiest piece of heaven ever.
But in India, our hosts recommended this class. Why? Because for a room to only be 99 degrees will feel like a relief.
That's right. Bikram studios are COOLED to be 99 degrees, not heated.
Is anyone else's mind blown? What am I thinking?!
