Rabbit Hole opens tomorrow!

I have had an amazingly fun time working on this show.  It has been wonderful to act again and even better to work outside of musical theatre as an actor for the first time ever!  If you are in southern Minnesota this weekend, come check it out!

Oh, and my costume makes me look so eerily like my mom, people are getting freaked out out.  Check it out:

NEW YORK 2009!

Back home with Cor for a bit!  But check out my new Chinatown shades!
In the lobby with Stephen and Kim waiting for "Billy Elliot"!  It was a really wonderful show.
I also saw "In the Heights" and sat very near Nancy Pelosi, oddly enough...
My very favorite little brother Zac and I had a magical reunion in Hell's Kitchen.  We are just as connected and in love as ever.  Gotta love those few relationships in your life that never change.
This was my welcoming committee at the Wellington when I got into the city.  How amazing is that... Jealous?

THANK YOU NEW YORK!!!

NEW YORK 2009!

I just got back from New York for Spring Break and it was amazing.  I got to hang with Lex!  4 year olds in New York City STRESS.  ME. OUT.  But I love him so much!
This is the whole Abiyoyo crew that went together on our departure from JFK.
Family picture with Nickie, Laura, and Benny in Astoria one night... Love them too.
Jared and I outside 42nd Street New Studios to see Michael John's new musical, "Giant".  It seriously unbelievable and inspired me more than I have words for.  I am so blessed.
A new friend and an old one...Miss Vodka Stinger and my former dance captain, Trevor.  Love them too!!

Neighborhoods still exist!

Amidst a snow emergency tonight, I went grocery shopping.  When I came home my next door neighbor and his two young sons were shoveling my sidewalk, out of the goodness of their heart.  Then when I was walking up with grocery bags in my hands to say thank you, the man insisted his boys take my bags up to the door for me.  It was one of the sweetest, most selfless things I have ever experienced.  I didn't know there were people out there that just selflessly helped without expecting anything anymore.

...except my dad, that is.

It was really sweet.  And an excellent reminder to give without expectations...
Thanks, NeighborGuy!

ABIYOYO PUBLIC SHOWING!

I am not sure who reads this, but let me sincerely invite all of you to Mankato, Saturday February 28 at 1 pm to see Abiyoyo!!!

Anyone can stay with me if they need to!  This has been the most fun I have had on a show in years... come share it!

been a long time...

Things are changing everyday.  I have only figured out a few things for sure:
A for 1--Being lost isn't the same as being misdirected.
B for 2--Missing someone can physically hurt.
C for 3--I am finding solitude difficult but necessary right now.

That's all.

roommates...

It is 1:30am and I would LOVE to be sleeping right now.  Instead I am stuck in a hotel room with 3 roommates--1 of whom is actively snoring a symphony.  I have woken her up a few times now and it just isn't working so...

I am in Lawrence, KS at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and I hate it.  I have wanted to go to ACTF for 9 years now, and I have honestly not enjoyed any of it so far.  I keep looking for a redeemable quality and perhaps it's there, but I haven't found it.

Maybe it's because I like living alone and that isn't happening!  Or maybe it's because competitive art is the bunch of crap I have always said it is.  Or maybe its because I was totally disrespected publicly by my boss.  Either way, for me, the only way to do ACTF is from home, when it's nothing but fun phone calls and updates once a day.  I am so not repeating this adventure again.

Nikki doesn't smoke anymore.

I've gotten through the headaches, cravings and bloated body/metabolism drop stuff over the past few weeks.

I feel like I can finally announce that I've quit because I feel like I really have this time.

Wish me luck when school starts again!
